WEEK IN REVIEW

Last week was a very individualized week of math class.  Students worked on their Unit 1 Projects from October 24th.  The projects were due on Tuesday, October 28.  The rest of the week was used to bring up individual's grades if necessary and complete projects.  Students were given time in class to make test corrections, quiz corrections, and complete OR correct assignments.  Those who were all caught up and satisfied with their grades worked online with "Buzz Math".  "Buzz Math" is connected to every student's school google account, and it provides instantaneous feedback to problems aligned to the Common Core State Standards.  The kids seem to really like doing Buzz Math and the fact that it is self-paced.  They are able to work on some very complex problems and find success due to the individualized nature of the program.  The marking period ended Friday and students grades are now final.  The new marking period begins Monday, November 3rd.  That's TODAY! :)  We are starting Unit 2:  Exponents & Scientific Notation.  Students who plan to study the sciences in their future will be really smart to keep up with this unit; it will serve them well!
