Class began with our 5th day of Big 10 Challenge round 4. Since that completed round 4, we took our Big 10 Quiz 4. Students needed to earn 3 correct answers out of the 10 questions in order to get 100%. We keep increasing the expectations for our Big 10 Challenge by one point each quiz. Our school wide goal is for all students to be able to score at least 8 out of 10 points for their Big 10 Quiz before the end of the year.
After the quiz, we went over our "Irrational Numbers" 1-6 packets. The assignment from yesterday and Friday was to complete the last page of the packet (p.26 #1-20). We graded the last page after reviewing a couple of problems that students asked about. Finally, we ended the class period with a quiz over this 3rd learning target of unit 1. The quiz was VERY similar to the assignment that we had just corrected. Both this quiz and the packet can be fixed if students are not satisfied with their scores.
