Welcome to Mrs. Raven's blog. I will be posting routinely on this site to keep students and families updated on all that is going on in math class. I hope you all find this to be a valuable resource for 8th grade information. FRIDAY
If you missed class Friday, we worked on our "Irrational Numbers" 1-6 packet together in class, completing Examples 1 & 2. We learned how to operate with square roots of non-perfect squares and use decimal approximations of these irrational numbers to make approximations that don't always have to be all that precise. We were then able to compare numbers using less than (<), greater than (>) and equal signs. We then worked on the back page of the packet (p. 26) and applied our new learning to #1-16 on p. 26. We also started the class with Big 10 Round 4 Day 3 problems.
