First Day in the Books

I enjoyed our first day back from summer vacation.  This 8th grade group of students is going to have a fantastic year!  I look forward to being your teacher.  Today we got to use the chromebooks.  We discovered this blog where a lot of useful "stuff" is kept.  We even got to "kick the tires" a little bit.  Here is what we did today in a list form:

• Chose a chromebook
• Chose a textbook
• Signed out these items using my important forms link "chromebook textbook signout" on the left side of this blog.  We won't have to do that again now, unless you change classes.
• Answered questions, typical first day discussions, using the link to the right of this blog called "Socrative".
• Practiced multiplication facts using the "Multiplication Facts" link on the right side of this blog.
• Practiced chromebook cart usage procedures.

Tomorrow we will be taking the Star Math test on the chromebooks, and I will be showing you how to use the "Assignment Submission" Form with your multiplication facts.  Phew!  I'm tired just reflecting on all that we did today.  Have a great evening!
